Science Validates The Bible – Here Are Some Verses For Consideration!
The Bible is the most frequently read and widely distributed books in the entire world. It is estimated that more than 120 million Bibles are distributed each year (either given freely or sold). People question the accuracy of the Bible texts, but let us examine just seven examples of how Science has validated some of the extremely old Bible verses.
1. Let us start with human blood. [Leviticus 17:11 (ESV)]
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I (God) have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.
– This verse speaks about how the life of a human is in the blood. (This is also true for other creatures!)
– Apart from traveling around the body to supply oxygen, nutrients, and other vital elements for continued survival of a human being, blood also protects the body via infection-fighting agents, prevents blood loss through clotting, regulates body temperature, and even ensures that waste products go to the liver and kidneys like they are supposed to.
– Science has validated this fact thousands of years after the above verse was written!
2. What about Earth’s hydrologic cycle? [Ecclesiastes 1:7 (ESV)]
“All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the streams flow, there they flow again.”
– Describes how water flowing from streams into the sea eventually returns to its origin.
– Describes how modern science understands evaporation, condensation, and precipitation and validates the Bible verse above, even though the latter [Ecclesiastes 1:7 (ESV)] was written thousands of years before Science could prove this!
3. Water rising from different bodies of water and falling back to Earth as rain!
(A) [Amos 9: 5-6 (LEB)]
And thus will do the Lord Yahweh of hosts, who touches the Earth and it melts, and all of those living in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile and it sinks down like the Nile of Egypt, who builds His upper chambers in the heavens and lays the foundation of His vault on the Earth, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them on the surface of the earth – Yahweh is His name.”
(B) [Amos 9:5-6 (YLT)]
And it is the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Who is striking against the land, and it melteth, And mourned have all the inhabitants in it, And come up as a flood hath all of it, And it hath sunk — like the flood of Egypt. Who is building in the heavens His upper chambers; As to His troop, Upon earth He hath founded it, Who is calling for the waters of the sea, And poureth them out on the face of the land, Jehovah is His name.”
– These two verses [from the LEB (Lexham English Bible) and YLT (Young’s Literal Translation)] clearly reference water rising from larger bodies of water such as seas or streams, and then falling back to Earth as rain.
– Scientists have found this verse to be true thousands of years after it was written in the Bible.
4. Clouds rise up and pour down as rain. [Job 36: 27-28 (ESV)]
“For He draws up the drops of water; they distill His mist in rain,
which the skies pour down, and drop on mankind abundantly.”
– These verses speak about clouds rising and then pouring down as rain.
– These verses have been substantiated by Science in the modern times, thousands of years after the Bible documented these observations!
5. The Earth was documented in the Bible as “circular” [Isaiah 40:22 (ESV)]
“It is He who sits above the ‘circle of the earth’, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; Who (God) stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in.”
– This verse documents the true nature of our Earth. and it was written thousands of years before Science could verify and prove the fact!
– The Bible has never spoken about the Earth as being flat!
6. The Earth is extremely hot deep inside. [Job 28: 5 (ESV)]
“As for the Earth, out of it comes bread, but underneath, it is turned up as by fire.”
– Science has proved this fact eons after the Bible documented it!
7. The Earth is simply floating in space! [Job 26:7 (ESV)]
“He stretches out the north over the void, and hangs the Earth on nothing.”
– Earth is unsupported by any fixed physical structure whatsoever.
– Science has validated this fact centuries after the Bible documented it!
If we read and study the Bible, we will discover much more about the truths that Science has proved recently. One has to study the Bible with the help of Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, and there is a need to reference the writings of great scholars to get a proper understanding and the wisdom needed.
When we search for proof that the Bible is true, we will understand that this will lead to faith! However, blessed is the person who believes that the Bible is the Word of God even if the understanding levels cannot approach that of great scholars!
