On June-11, I am grateful to Baby, our sister, on this day –
The day on which she furtively spirited away.
She was the inspiration for my love of Mathematics,
After Mama aroused my formative ecstatics.
Baby showed me her book on “Additional Mathematics”,
When I was only nine years of age, to take me into pragmatics.
When I used to play badminton with our family,
I was a sore loser since Papa made me suffer totally.
After every loss to Papa, Baby would console me out of pity,
But Mama would add more pain with her comments gritty!
Chamma and Chinni were neutral parties in my sadness,
Lending me passive support in wholeness!
I will never forget all the days I used to run behind Baby,
When I was just five years of age and very naughty –
I always wanted to see Baby getting into her school bus
Each time punished by Papa for causing a fuss!
I am still contemplating why Baby had to leave us so early,
But she must be in a better dimension clearly!
She began the journey into a space-time continuum,
To leave behind her legacy of the quantum residuum.
