God, Absolute Truth and Mathematics

Categories:

God is the creator of all wisdom, knowledge, creativity and everything that our minds can bring out to the real world!

The pursuit of Mathematical truth is exactly what theology explains. Mathematics reflects the divine qualities of God. Biblical verses, treatises and presentations follow the same rules of logic that are fundamental to Mathematics. The need of the hour is to understand the ancient scriptures written in Hebrew, Greek and some Aramaic. English is not the perfect language for understanding truth that is taught in the Bible. Jesus proclaimed that He is the truth, the way and the life, and the only way to understand God the Father is through Him (John 14:6) and the influence of the Holy Spirit in ourselves.

Let me explain a little bit more. If we begin by reading Romans 1:17 in the ESV (English Standard Version) of the Holy Bible, we will understand that “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith, for faith, as it is written, ‘The righteous shall live by faith’.” This means that we have to be humble enough to build our faith within our spirits and God will reveal Himself to comfort, encourage, guide, and inspire us! The main problem with people is that they think that Mathematics is difficult and make no effort to learn the subject objectively. The other problem is that most people have not read the Bible fully to learn more about the original texts in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. We can change these mental blocks by cutting out external influences and thinking for ourselves!

Even the people who exalt the teachings of Plato and Aristotle have to understand their fundamental statements. Plato’s rationalism was characterized by ‘a priori’ or ‘deductive reasoning’, and he believed in the existence of absolutes and forms. Aristotle’s empiricism emphasized ‘a posteriori’ or ‘inductive reasoning’, and that knowledge of an object is found exclusively in the object itself. Both these statements prove what Mathematics has as some of its fundamentals. The Bible also uses these reasonings.

Mathematics is not abstract at all because it deals with what our senses can associate with. Furthermore, Mathematics is unchangeable and unified, and this helps in shaping our understanding of God’s immutability, indivisibility and eternality.

Finally, Mathematics and the Bible have common ontologies and taxonomies to link several so-called “complicated” or “non-rational” ideas (“complicated” and “non-rational” according to secular pundits). We have to ignore the secular pundits and forgive their arrogance! We should carefully consider what the Bible says: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7).
