How To Solve Problems And Stop Worrying

Problem solutionsAll of us tend to go into a hole or start fuming when a problem is too difficult to solve! I am an example of this and must confess to this huge drawback in my character. My family has borne witness to my several such “episodes” (that are too many to list).

Sadly, this is the common difficulty of our minds – taking a problem and identifying it as a hurdle or huge burden. There is a much better way to solve problems because God does not want us to worry, but He is trying to teach us patience and the willingness to find solutions ourselves or with help from others.

The smartest people are those that have a special quality – after solving a problem, they would go back and continue thinking (about the problem) and try to figure out different ways to solve it. This is common among Mathematicians (of high caliber), and they are never satisfied with only one solution because they believe that unique solutions are extremely rare (but they accept rarities if they themselves can prove this).

Intelligent people are not willing to accept answers or any opinions that they do not understand, regardless of what other people opine or say. These are the people who try to convince themselves about the answers, and if they are unable to do this, they will never accept them (the answers).

It is so easy to think that we understand something, when, in actuality, we do not have a clue! This is why we need to “attack” a problem, concept or anything similar, from multiple angles and test our own understanding.

I believe that this is one of the main reasons why Jesus spoke in parables throughout His journey on earth, and He avoided providing answers to questions (solutions to problems) as abstract principles. Jesus wanted to motivate his humble followers to be honest and think for themselves. Even though Jesus Christ never had a formal education, He was and is our greatest teacher!!!
