When Mathematicians describe equations and theorems as “beautiful”, what do they mean? Any non-mathematically inclined person can find beauty in poetry, art, nature and the like. The same sense of aura and appreciation exists for Mathematicians, in their perspectives of beauty, with manifestations that can transcend our understanding!

Mathematics is closely linked to logical thinking, and this can attract the attention and fascination of many who can see into its subtle beauty. With this as an introduction, allow me to assume that there are many ways to attain salvation. Salvation, as many of us know, is independent of religion, but is closely coupled with our innate sins.

Who can save us from our sins? Can a god man or god woman do this for us? As we have seen empirically from historical facts and some other experiments, no man or woman can ever save us from our sins.

So, even if there may be many so-called paths to attain salvation, is there any example of one person/individual who died to wipe away all our sins? Yes – Jesus Christ died for us, when He came in the human form, predicted his death and the nature of His sufferings, and then He rose from the dead! No other way has any example of this kind of a sacrifice!

I believe that truth is absolute, and Mathematics can help us understand the profundity of this fact. The only caveat is that we need to have faith in the rules (or “axioms”, “assumptions”, and the like) that are used to prove something, by starting at a reasonable level of initial conditions. This is similar to the “rules” we see in our lives on a daily basis. Rules are the initial conditions or starting points that are used to arrive at concrete proofs within any specified boundary!

John 1: 1 – 5 (English Standard Version)
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] He was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
[5] The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Instead of a theory of everything, John presents the Creator of everything. He is the rationality behind Mathematics, Physics, and all other sciences; the basis for human thought and emotion; the ultimate truth. In summary, ultimate truth is a unique person, and His name is Jesus Christ!
