Prayer is a necessity for living an authentic life of communion with God. For all believers in God and His divine powers, prayer is essential and it is also the primary means of communicating with God. In fact, prayer is a treasure for all who believe in God Almighty, so much so that it becomes a part of their hearts and minds.
I am deeply inspired by the approach of the “School of Prayer” [https://schoolofprayerusa.org/], and this is why I wanted to share my thoughts on prayer.
Also, there is a fantastic info-graphic created by the “Emmanuel Clovis” church [https://www.emmanuelclovis.com/resources/lectio-divina-infographic], that I have included in this post. The image above is clickable, with the steps to follow.
I am aware that there is no single correct (or right) way to pray. God is reaching out to each one of us in His own unique way and He wants a relationship with Him. Each one of us prays in his or her own special way. However, the Lectio Divina is a great “tool” that provides a practical “roadmap” to follow if we want to be consistent in our prayers. This approach will help each one of us to reach out to God through His Holy Word, and listen to what He wants us to do on a daily basis.
The Lectio Divina may not be an end in itself. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful means to hear from God through scriptural texts, or verses, in a specifically individual way that everybody can experience. I am sharing this post because the Holy Spirit will guide us to follow the perfect example of Jesus Christ in our communion with God Almighty.
