We need to understand that Mathematics has always been formulated before any natural observations are/were made. It is also known that many Mathematical laws of the past and present times have had (or have) no known existing physical analogues.

Great scholars have already taught us that Mathematics exists independent of physical reality. Physicists and other types of scientists will always try to use the so-called scientific method (Observation, Hypothesis, Experiment, Iterate) to put the Mathematics laws to practical use. Of course, there are many examples that show that science has yet to catch up with Mathematical laws. There still are many problems that are “open” and need to be put to practical use (in applications) by the scientific method.

Einstein’s general theory of relativity, for example, was based on Mathematics that was developed many years earlier by the great German mathematician Riemann. It was Riemann who laid the foundations of Mathematics for general relativity. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest Mathematicians of all time.

In some cases the Physicist also discovers Mathematics. Isaac Newton was considered among the greatest Mathematicians as well as Physicists of the 17th century. Other Physicists sought his help in finding a Mathematical explanation for the workings of the solar system. He found it in the Mathematical law of gravity based on his discovery of Calculus.

The great British physicist Sir Roger Penrose (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Penrose) asked the question “How can physical atoms and molecules, for example, create something that exists in a separate domain that has no physical existence: human consciousness?”. This is a mystery that lies beyond science and Sir Roger Penrose was amazed by this.

The great Plato believed that Mathematical laws first existed outside any physical reality. The material world that we experience as part of our human existence is an imperfect reflection of these prior formal ideals. This leads many scholars to believe that Mathematics is the fundamental world reality that drives the universe. This is what all of them mentioned as “Mathematics operates in God mode”!
